This article is a proposal and an invitation to the conceptual clarity. For this reason, the pedagogy is defined as a philosophy in education based on some theoretical positions: the pedagogy is a second order theory also known as metatheory, which reflects on the “ought to be” of education and not on what education certainly is. To achieve this goal, the idea of education as a social fact or an activity is undertaken; in order to make the activity of a philosopher clear a definition of philosophy is proposed. And the curriculum is presented as a necessary condition for educational purposes. Finally, a perception on evaluation is presented.
