THE LEARNING PROCESS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE AS A MEANS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERCULTURAL COMPETENECES

Objective: to identify the elements to promote the English learning process from an English teaching project and the development of intercultural competences in tenth and eleventh grade students at the educational institution La Asunción from Manizales. Methodology: experiences systematization, which allowed the exploration of the various types of knowledge that were acquired on students who participated on such project. Findings: the acknowledgement of the capacities students have to identify and reflect on different cultures, based on the activities that recreated experiences and expressions characteristic in some of the English-speaking countries. Conclusion: this type of research allowed the acknowledgement of a meaningful learning built by the participants of this teaching project.
