TEACHER’S TRAINING: SUMMIT AMONG COLOMBIA, BRAZIL AND CHILE

Objective: to know about public policies on teachers training in Colombia, Brazil and Chile. Methodology: qualitative analysis approach; historical-descriptive-hermeneutical research method: multi-study case, and content analysis technique applying documentary source. Findings: the procedures associated to public policies in an educational environment and in an institutional field (universities) are understood. Those procedures create an impact on students’ education and on the different cultural expressions. Furthermore, there was an ample comprehension on how the Educational Policy corresponding to government institutions responds to the demands required for the production, whereas the universities present the opposite situation which endeavor to offer an education for the adaptability, the reflection, the critical thinking and the construction of knowledge. Conclusions: the professional training of Physical Education teachers in Colombia, Brazil and Chile have a strong influence in the political and economic fields The professional training is centered in the technical-mechanistic and diversified rationalism, since they are in charge of educating on the educational aspects within their area as well as on the extracurricular field.
