The present article seeks to inquire into the reception that Paulo Freire makes of some elements of Latin American theology, in view of its own pedagogical development. From the reading of a few of his works, we will highlight those keys of reading that allow us to understand the real impact of the theological in Freire’s method. In addition to finally recognize the need to inquire into the reciprocal relationship of pedagogy and theology with a focus on the liberation and humanization of subjects.
