This critical reflection article addresses the youth civic participation in a global society, technologically advanced and virtually interconnected. The discussion will be guided by the thought of the social theorist Alberto Melucci, who from a critical perspective, discusses the new boundaries to reflect on citizenship, consisting of the difference and solidarity; inclusion and exclusion; and actual democracy living spaces; all distributed unevenly. These ideas make a constituent part of the interconnections they have with the educational experiences of young people and the ways they are living citizenship in a complex and differentiated world, highlighting the real possibilities of youth civic participation in Colombia.
