OTHER PERCEPTION OF DISABILITY IN THE RECREATIONAL CYCLING PRACTICE

Objective: to comprehend the sense given by people with corporal differences to their experience of body in the recreational cycling practice. Methodology: hermeneutic-narrative approach that assumes the experiences of different bodies as a text by means of the word. Findings: the senses given by the two surveyed people to the experience of body in recreational cycling are unveiled through the sense of independence, discovery, recognition of their body and the meeting with others. Conclusions: it was important the transformation of the perception of the difference agreed by the encounter with the body, give possibility to the limit and finally, the discovery on the part of the participants about the sensation of feeling questioning and surprising gazes that transcend the body.
