Objective: to contribute to the field of problem identification of Social Sciences teaching, evidencing the most common didactic practices in the Educational Institutions of the city of Guadalajara de Buga and from a theoretical discussion that exposes and identifies problems in the crisis of the constructivist and dialogic models in the teaching in this school area. Methodology: qualitative research. The information was collected in five Educational Institutions of the city and the BA in History. The information gathering techniques were the structured interview, the focus group and the documentary review (Institutional Educational Project, area plans and document presented for renewal of the certification of the program in the PALHUV). Results: Social Science teachers recognize the importance of Social Sciences and History in the development of cognitive, emotional and social skills. However, this position contrasts with subject-wise didactic practices. There are certain changes in teaching that are directly related to the progress of the digital world and the need to incorporate it as an input into the processes of teaching Social Sciences. Conclusions: At present, only a few studies in didactics of the Social Sciences have transcended to the applied field of didactics based on a variety of possibilities, including the pedagogical use of historical research methodologies or information and communication technologies, because they allow a more experimental approach of the student to the knowledge.
